  • High cleansing ability even or water-proof mascara.

  • It is water-soluble, and does not leave unpleasant greasy feeling.
  • Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.

~AG~

Lighter in consistency compared to Fancl Mild Cleansing oil. It does remove waterproof eye makeup such as mascara and eyeliner, and does not irritate the eyes. Effectively removes sunscreen. I cannot attest for its moisturizing properties since I wash it off right away with water. It does dissolve easily with warm water, and does not leave any residue. Overall, Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturing Cleansing Oil is a decent product and I will re-purchase it.

~MG~

Prior to this, I had been using DHC Cleansing Oil which worked well but it was too thick and thus harder to wash off. I really love this Hada Labo Cleansing oil because it is less pricy than the DHC and works better because of its thinner consistency. With my DHC, I was kind off lazy to use it because I needed to waste alot of time and water washing it off because after switching to Hada Labo, I had been using it everyday because it is less of a hassle. Most importantly, this Hada Labo Cleansing oil removes makeup very good, you just need 1 pump of oil and massage gently onto your face and eyes for 1 minute and then wash it off!

Ps: AG and I had already purchased our second bottle!

REVIEW: Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes

According to Sephora, this mascara contain Skinvigorating ingredients such as beeswax which is known as a natural waterproof agent. It also contains mineral pigments that soothes and softens; and carnauba wax, which is an emollient that ensures smooth application.

I always have trouble finding a truly waterproof mascara. Even though the cosmetic company labels a mascara as waterproof, I often find that it will smudge to my lower eyelids. For example, I don't trust when Maybelline states that its mascaras are waterproof. In my experience, they are truly the worst waterproof mascaras that I've tried. They give me severe racoon eyes effects. But here are a few things that I like about Tarte Light, Camera, Splashes mascara. It is truly waterproof as it claims. It must be the beeswax that gives it its waterproof property. It adds definition and lengthen my short lashes without clumping. After curling my eyelashes with my trusty Shiseido eyelash curler, this mascara really holds up the curl for the rest of the day.

It is rather expensive for a mascara at USD $19 compared to drugstore mascaras. However, it is not as highly priced as other high-end mascaras such as Chanel and Lancome.

The only thing is that I wished that it was more volumizing. So, if you wanted more dramatic eyelashes, you would need to layer this mascara with one that gives more volume.

This mascara will be great for those that have naturally long lashes and wants a waterproof mascara that will keep their lashes curled all day.

WHERE TO BUY IT:
In the States, you can find it at Sephora and Ulta stores.

    REVIEW: FANCL Washing Powder

    ~AG~
FANCL is a Japanese brand that is known for its preservative-free products in Asia. I bought FANCL Washing Powder when my skin was temperamental and needed a gentle face wash. I've always wanted to try the washing powder because of how interestingly it works. It is bottled powder face wash then becomes foamy when in contact with water.

WASHING POWDER has a unique Perfect Cleansing Sensor which effectively removes dirt without stripping your skin of its natural and essential moisture, leaving it soft and moist.New Amino Hybrid Technology formulation makes it easier and faster to create creamy and dense foam which lifts dirt and impurities more effectively and prevents dirt from redepositing onto the skin.

HOW TO USE FOAMING BALL (Image Below):
Using the foaming ball to create foam, which you have to pay additional for. But you can also create foams without the foaming ball.

HOW TO CREATE FOAMS WITH HANDS:
First, wash hands and throughly wet face.
Pour a quarter size of washing powder onto the palm of your hands.
Add a tablespoon of water to the washing powder.
Use fingers to foam up the washing powder by mixing it in a circular motion
    Continue until foam is dense

    THE GOOD
    • Fun to use, with some water the powder turns to foam
    • Is not scented
    • Skin does feel smoother after use, because of the amino acid properties
    • No adverse reactions on my sensitive combination skin
    • Easy to travel with
    • One bottle lasted me for more than 3 months.
    THE BAD
    • Does not clean as well. You will need to use cleansing oil beforehand to remove sunscreen & makeup
    • Not a drugstore priced face wash - S$15 for 25 g of product
    • If you like the squeaky clean feeling after washing your face , this is not the face wash product for you.
    • Only readily available in Asia.

    - 6 x 0.09 oz Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow in Meow, Jungle, Instinct, Wild, Primal, Roar- 2 x 0.1 oz Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow in Call, Lynx
    Price: USD $38

    ~AG~

I was checking out Sephora for new products when I saw this palette by Tarte. I've always been a big fan of Tarte since I tried a few of their products - Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes mascara and Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush. But have never tried any of their eyeshadows, so I cannot comment much about the pigmentation and staying power. However, if it is similar to the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush, which has great pigmentation and staying power, I will definitely go out to buy it now.

There is a great selection of colours on this palette. The eyeshadows on this palette is more neutral with warm undertones. I think it will be a great everyday palette. You can use the lighter colours for daytime use, and the darker colours for night time use.

I'm thinking of getting this in the next Sephora Family & Friends Sale.

    ~AG~

This product is supposed to be for sensitive skin. Bought it for my younger sister who has ultra sensitive skin and can only use products with natural ingredients. The sales associate told me that it was suitable for sensitive skin. But after my younger sister started using it, her skin became red and irritated. After first, I thought her skin irritation was because of hormonal and/or environmental changes. However, we discovered this Kiehl’s product was the cause of it. I was so disappointed by this product, and will find it hard to believe a Kiehl’s sales associate anymore.
Being the beauty products junkie that I am, I decided to give it a try before tossing it. Because maybe it might work okay with my skin type. Boy, was I wrong. I only use it once and I saw noticeable differences on my skin. Red bumps started appearing on my cheeks from no where. So I tried it again another day, and my skin got more irritated. FYI, I do have sensitive skin but it’s not as sensitive as my younger sister’s.
So with the verdict from my sister and I, we decided to say goodbye to this product. I am utterly disappointed with the Kiehl brand for creating a product that is supposedly for sensitive skin, but it irritates the skin even further, and making it worst. I do NOT recommend Kiehl Centella Recovery Skin Salve to you, readers. Stay away from it! It is detrimental to your skin.

REVIEW: Face Shop Face It Extreme Bold Pen Liner

    ~AG~

I bought the Face Shop Face It Extreme Bold Pen Liner about a year ago. I was walking through the Face Shop store at L.A. K-town when I saw this eyeliner. What attracted me most to this eyeliner was the fact that it has a hard felt-tip. Before that, the felt-tip eyeliners that I tried were usually softer like an eyeliner brush (such as 24K palette) instead of hard like a marker. Plus, when I asked the saleslady about this eyeliner, she said that it was waterproof.

    • The hard, fine tip creates the thinnest liner close to the lash line
    • Easy to use - great for everyday use
    • Can be drawn over to create a more dramatic look

When I first tried using this eyeliner, I found that its staying power was horrible. What turned me off was when I put this eyeliner on one morning, and when I drove to my friend's place which was about an hour away, the eyeliner had already smudged to my lower eyelids. In addition, this happened during the Winter season in Southern California. I tried the eyeliner again a couple of times after that, but still found its staying power lacking. So I hid away under all my makeup collection.

About six months later, when I had moved back to Singapore, I decided to try this eyeliner again. To see how it will fare in the hot and humid weather. I expected it to be worst. Since the humidity might cause the eyeliner to smudge more easily than the dry and cool weather of Southern California's winter. But I was wrong, the eyeliner stayed on better than before. It still smudged to my lower eyelids at the end the day, but its staying power was improved. I don't know why the eyeliner stays on better when I tried in Singapore versus when I tried in the States.

From initially being a complete failure, this eyeliner has become one of my most favourite eyeliners. I use it almost everyday, and rely on it for special occasions.

    • Pigment does not wear off throughout the day
    • Rather pigmented
    • Dries rather quickly - less than 10 seconds
    • Smudged slightly to my lower lids, even with Urban Decay Primer Potion and/or eyeshadow
    • Lasts for 4 hours before it smudges
    • Expensive USD$22

    MAC Liquidlast Liner Tip

    ~AG~
MAC Liquidlast Liner is one of my most HG eyeliners. However, I found that I don’t use it often enough due to the brush. The thin brush is difficult to control especially if you are trying to create a natural eyeliner look. A few days ago, I decided to try a new way to apply MAC Liquidlast liner. I took my Ecotools Angled Eyeliner brush, and generously brushed on the MAC Liquidlast liner at the tip of the brush. I wait for about 5 seconds before applying the liquid liner. After it becomes tacky, the liquid liner becomes more of a gel-like texture. Especially for my monolids, I find it easier to apply liquid liner this way. With this method, MAC Liquidlast liner becomes more convenient to use. It is easier for me to create a fine eyeliner look. This method also allows me to use MAC Liquidlast liner for tightlining.
I’m really happy that I found this new method of using MAC Liquidlast liner. It will work especially well for those of you that like the staying power of liquid liner but find it difficult to apply. Try it out for yourself!

    REVIEW : Dior Iconic Mascara

    Dior Iconic Mascara Waterproof

Diorshow Iconic features an oblique cut brush that gives an extra lash-curling effect. With its long, skinny teeth, the plastic comb brush allows you to precisely coat each lash one-by-one-creating a long, separated fan of lashes that usually takes the skill of a makeup artist. The extra-hold formula provides a 24-hour-curl with 100% smudge-proof results.

     ~AG~

    THE GOOD
    • It does keep my straight Asian lashes curled all day
    • Does not smudge to my lower eyelids
    • The brush head works well for my monolids
    • Gives definition
    THE BAD
    • Does not give much volume
    • Needs to layer on with a volumizing mascara
    • Pricey @ USD $28.50
Overall, I would repurchase this mascara because of its smudge-proof and curling properties.

REVIEW: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

The FAB Antioxidant Booster defends skin from free radical damage and the cream deeply hydrates with exceptional penetration, providing immediate relief and visible improvement for distressed face

    ~MG~

I bought the 'FAB Ultra Repair Cream', hoping that it will be a good moisturizer for the fall and winter seasons since it claims to be a thick and rich cream.
FAB claims that this cream is "for anyone with severely dry, scaly skin due to the harsh winter weather, aggressive cosmetic treatments or any of the following conditions: psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, irritant eczema, allergic eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, keratosis pilaris."
After using this cream for 3 weeks, all I can say is that this product is not bad but also not great or even good, just average. I use the cream as my night moisturizer because of its supposedly hydrating properties. However, when I wake up in the morning, I feel that my face is not as moisturized. I had expected my face to be very moisturized the next morning but no, my face is not in my ideal moisturized level. I have a combination oily skin type and this cream did not even moisturize my face that well so I am not so sure about its claim. In my opinion, this moisturizer will be good for oily skin's day moisturizer and maybe as night moisturizer too if your skin is really good since it is really lightweight and fairly hydrating.

A quick preview of its ingredients...
    • Colloidal Oatmeal as the skin protectant. It is the only FDA-approved, over-the-counter ingredient for eczema.
    • Allantoin and Eucalyptus Oil as the skin healer and soother.
    • FAB Antioxidant Booster, who combat free radicals.
    • Ceramides, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Squalane and Shea Butter as the moisturizer and barrier of protection for the skin

What I like about this cream are...
    • Its lightweight texture. The cream will really absorb well into your skin.
    • It has a very slight minty scent which I assume to be from the Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract because the cream is formulated without synthetic fragrances.
    • It is also formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Dynes, Phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan which makes it safe for sensitive face.
    • I like how customers buying this cream can have the option of buying it either in a tube or a tub packaging. I bought the tube packaging which is actually its mini version, since it is much more hygienic.
    • It is multipurpose, you can use it as a face cream, hand cream and all over the dry areas of your body.
    • It does not cause my face to break out.

Unfortunately, I won't buy this product again because I find it to be not that moisturizing even though my skintype is oily combination.

REVIEW: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

"I cannot imagine a day without my 8 hour cream."

     ~MG~

Been using it since December '12 because my lip was very dry and chapped. My lip was never this terrible. I tried applying my ex-lover 'Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment' and even its 'Advanced Treatment', but none work! I tried exfoliating my lips with the 'Fresh Sugar Lip Polish' at night. It kind of worked, but my lip would returned to its ugly state the next afternoon or evening.

I have been hearing many good reviews about this skin protectant. The words 'Eight hour' in its title was another reason that got me attracted to this product. I really wanted to find out whether it can stay 8 hours on my lips. Was in a desperate mode to rescue my lips, so, I just had to get it.

Some of its important ingredients are:
    (1) Salicylic Acid, which gently helps to exfoliate for a smoother skin and this is why this is the lip balm to go for;
    (2) Vitamin E, which is always good for our skin;
    (3) Petrolatum, which the main star. It makes up 56.8% of the product.
Many people say that this cream is just an overpriced 'Vaseline Petroleum Jelly' but no, my friends! Once you try the '8 hour', you will know why people (like me!) are crazy about it.

I started using my '8 hour cream' every morning, every afternoon, every night, after showers, before sleep, before doing my makeup... in general, whenever my lip is dry. Thankfully, this stuff works! Even though my lip is back to its normal state now, I am still continuing using it!
I have one in my beauty corner and one in my handbag. It is the perfect lip treatment.

Another reason why I love the 'Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream' is its multipurpose.
    • I used it as a hand cream when I want 100% moisturize hands like in the airplane.
    • Also in the airplane, I used this as a facial mask since the air is very dry up there, so the '8 cream' acts superb as a face protectant and keep my face hydrated. Even though the cream is very thick and moisturizing, it does not break me out, which I still find it weird.
    • It is also an excellent cream for windburn. On two separate occasions, I had windburn. Applied my 8 hour cream before I sleep. And the next day, it all went away.
    • I also used this to shape my brow.
    • On days/evenings out, this is a great legs moisturizer because it makes your legs glowy too! For me, it is a must to-do when I am showing my legs.
    • Another purpose that I tried was to use it as an eczema cream. I had eczema at my neck during the summer when I went back to Asia.  This '8 hour cream' really improved my neck condition. It was no longer itchy, red, dry and scaly.
    • (There are still many other uses of this cream which I have yet to tried. For example: as an highlighter, acne treatment, after-sun soother.)
Although I love this product, there are a few drawbacks.
    • Despite being fragance free, it still has a strong smell.
    • The texture is real thick.
    • The tube packaging maybe an inconvenience when you are outside and you don't have hand sanitizer with you because you need to squeeze out the product onto your finger before applying it to your lips or other areas.
    • Your skin will be very shiny and can be very sticky if you apply too much of the product.
    • I don't think its staying power is up to 8 hours. Maybe more like a 6. Well, it will last till 8 hours only if you do no talking/eating/drinking like during your sleep. So, do remember that you will have to apply this balm after eating/drinking.

Lastly, this multi-awards winning, miracle cream will not break your bank.
It cost USD$19.50 for 1.7oz/50g which is 100% worth it because of its multipurpose which worked well!

Would I repurchase this product? Sure, I will. In fact, I had already purchased a new tube as a backup!

REVIEW: NARS Mini Blush & Bronzer Duo

    ~AG~

NARS Mini Blush & Bronzer duo is my new favorite cheek product. Its small packaging (0.17 oz) fits easily on the palm of my hand, which makes it convenient for traveling. The duo consists of the the blush shade, Orgasm, and bronzer shade, Laguna.
Laguna is a great shade for contouring. I use it on the sides of my foreheads and on the jawline. It might look too dark on the palette, but it looks just nice on my NC 30 skin. The shade does not have much red or orange undertones. Red or orange undertones can look unflattering on fair to medium skin tones. Plus, Laguna does not create a “dirty” look effect after it oxidizes, which some bronzer tends to do.
Orgasm gives a nice pink-peach glow. It has bits of gold shimmer which helps warm up the skin tone. I like the fact that the shimmers are not too flashy. It is a great everyday cheek color that looks very natural.
Nars blush & bronzer have great pigmentation and staying power. You only need a little product for it to show up on your skin. The colors stayed on well on my face - for more than 5 hours.
At US$24, it is a great beauty purchase. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great blush and bronzer to use everyday. It is a great way to try Nars popular blush and bronzer.

REVIEW: My Beauty Diary Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask

    ~AG~
Each pack comes with 5 pairs of eye mask

Available in Sasa, Watsons and Guardian

This magical invigorating and brightening eye masks are shaped like cute little fishes that hugs your eye contours to remove dullness and relieve fatigue.

Containing a blend of vitamins and rich plant extracts, the dual-system treatment formula targets the dullness and fatigue around the eye area, intensively infusing both beauty and vitality. The first radiant care system combines Vitamin C derivatives and Vitamin B3 along with Chrysin and Multi-Peptide reduces skin pigmentation, boosts circulation and restores healthy looking eyes. The second brightening care system of rich plan extracts consists of Rosa Centifolia essence, Ginseng extract, Horse-chestnut, Arnica montana and Common Broom eliminates dullness, evens out skin tone and relieves eye fatigue that works wonders to your eyes, reflecting clear dewy eyes and translucent beauty that mesmerizes.

The fish-shaped eye masks are so CUTE! They are so much fun to use!
However, the eye masks are not drenched with as much essence as the My Beauty Diary face sheet mask. The skin around the eye area feels cooling and slightly tingly when using it. After use, my eye area felt more moisturized and more toned. Because of this hydrating and firming effects, the eye area looks brighter. But I'll have to use it more to see whether its brightening property is more long-term and more noticeable.

REVIEW: Cle de Peau Beaute Concealer

    image

    ~AG~

The Cle de Peau Beaute Concealer has been on my wishlist for a long time. But I thought it is too pricy for a mere concealer.

Decided to try it out when I was at Nordstrom the other day. The saleslady applied a little bit of the product with a concealer brush. She used it on my dark circles, acne and redness around my nose.

When she showed me the finished result, I was impressed, my skin looks flawless. The concealer had magically hide away my imperfections. The redness around my nose had disappeared. The concealer also works well in covering pimples and bumps. For my undereye area, because the concealer is more of a yellow tone, it did help to cover my dark circles. However, on days where my dark circles are really bad, layering it with a salmon colored concealer will be necessary.

Even though it has a USD$70 price tag, it is a beauty must-have. A little bit of this product is all that is needed to cover small imperfections. The stick formula is also convenient for those who are on-the-go.
    image

The color she tried on me was Ocher, and it matched my skin tone perfectly.

I totally recommend this to you!

REVIEW : Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen

    Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen

Dior claims this skin perfector is supposed to diminish shadows, fine lines and imperfections. According to their study, 91% of women saw anti-fatigue effect after three weeks of daily application.

    ~AG~

This is a dupe of YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch. The reason I bought Dior SkinFlash was to have a quick & easy under eye concealer for on-the-go. However, I discovered that it can solely be a highlighter and does not work well as a concealer. SkinFlash has a sheer texture, hence the lack of coverage. When I use this in addition to my Laura Mercier Secret concealer, I’ve noticed it does help brighten the undereye area slightly.
But how significant is the brightening effect? Not enough to make me buy the product again especially with the hefty USD $37 price tag.

REVIEW: Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

    ~AG~

One of my friends raved about this Stila liquid eyeliner. She said this was the only truly smudge-proof eyeliner she's tried. I had to try it since I have issue with eyeliners smudging.

    • Has a more stiff felt tip - more control for eyeliner application
    • Intense pigmentation
    • Liner takes a long time to dry - at least 30 seconds,
    • Flaked when I used it on top on MAC Paint Pot
    • Eyeliner fade at the end of the day
    • Minimal smudging to the lower eyelids

This eyeliner is not for people with monolids since it takes so long to dry. I would not re-purchase it because I love wearing cream eye shadows over my eyeliners.

    REVIEW: DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping

    DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping

DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum & Primer claims to instantly primes, plumps, and lengthens lashes with an ultra-light and quick-drying formula. The first “active serum” mascara primer also contains a unique cell-conditioning complex made up of hydrolyzed soy proteins that promote long-term lash growth, strength, and vitality.

    ~AG~

What is my take on this product?
    • It improves the results of my low-performing CoverGirl Lash Blast Length and Fusion mascara.
    • Holds curl better
    • Adds volumes to my lashes
    • No significant lash growth seen yet - been using it for 2 weeks
    • Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and would definitely re-buy it.

REVIEW: Etude House Collagen Moistfull Cream

    ~AG~

An updated review of Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream. I did a preview review on this product in April. (see link for details http://beautybright.tumblr.com/post/49259293822/etude-house-collagen-moistfull-cream)

The Moistfull Collagen Cream is one of Women’s Weekly (Singapore) Best Beauty Buys 2013 Winner. That says something about how popular it is.

When I bought the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream, the set came with a 20ml Moistfull Collagen First Essence. According to Etude House, it is ”Formulated with 90% of hydrolyzed Marine Collagen, this serum absorbs quickly into skin to provide instant hydrating and firming relief.”

I used a sample-sized version on a week-long trip and had good results. So, I decided to buy a full-size version since it was pretty good.

I received a sample of Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream during my haul in December. But only used it recently on my trip to Shanghai. The weather in Shanghai was cooler with the spring breeze in full speed. As a result, my skin became tight and dry. I used Moistfull Collagen Cream at night and my skin felt hydrated. It left my skin feeling soft & supple. Its moisturizing properties is wonderful.

The texture of the cream is lightweight, and almost gel-like. The cream absorbs almost instantly into the skin. Even though I used the cream at night, I believe that this product is suitable for daytime use as well. It does not leave any residue, does not feel sticky, or oily.
My skin has been very sensitive to skincare products recently. But this did not trigger any adverse reactions on my skin. (FYI, I used it for 5 days while on the trip).
I like this product so much and can’t wait to buy the full-sized version. I don’t know how much it retails for in Singapore but I will definitely add this to my skincare routine.

But fast forward to July, I don’t like this product as much. I’ve been using this cream for almost three months now. But two weeks ago, I start to notice red bumps on my cheeks. Not pimple or acne, but more like small bug bites. At first I thought it might be because of allergic reaction to something. So I tried removing each face product from my skin care regimen systematically to figure out the cause of it. The small red bumps on my face reduced greatly when I did not use the cream for several days.
Conclusion is, my skin developed adverse reaction to this cream, even though it was okay initially (for 2 months or so). I don’t know why my skin is developing such an adverse reaction now, but maybe it has something to do with the different chemical changes in the body?

REVIEW: YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Waterproof

     image

This beguiling mascara creates lashes that stop traffic with the blink of an eye. Now available in a long-wear waterproof formula with 24-hour hold, the mascara also comes with a slim, inversed-spiral brush designed to work specifically to maximize lash volume with precision.
A unique combination of four polymers combine to form a waterproof, flake-free coat, which adheres perfectly to the surface of the lash for instant volume. Pro-Vitamin B strengthens, conditions, and softens the lashes.

    ~AG~

Bought this mascara because of a recommendation from a friend. So far, it works well. It is truly waterproof and does not smudge to my lower eyelids. I have had some problems with waterproof or smudge proof mascara. For example, Maybelline waterproof mascaras smudge on me.

YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils gives my short & sparse Asian lashes volume and length. Just two coats is enough to intensify my lashes. I can tell the difference when I wear this mascara. My eyes look more wide-eyed. I like it better than my other favorite high-end mascara, DiorShow Iconic.

It has a slight scent which I can describe as sweet and fresh ocean scent.

The only thing bad I can say about it is that if you apply too many coats, it will be come clumpy.
Even though it is pricy @ USD $30, I will buy it again.

REVIEW: Hada Labo SPF50+ PA+++ UV Moist Emulsion

    https://online.guardian.com.my/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/8/5/85944_hada_labo_uv_moist_emulsion_spf50_38ml_dec12_3.jpg

    ~MG~

I decided to try out the 'Hada Labo UV Moist Emulsion' because it claims to be moisturing which will be perfect for the winter season.

Hada Labo is a well-known Japanese skincare drugstore brand. I had used other Hada Labo products and they were all good.

Hada Labo's products are ideal for dehydrated skin because all of their products have hyaluronic acid in it which is key to moisturizing their skin because it will help to create a moisture locking shield to help preserve skin’s optimum moisture balance. Hada Labo's product are also great for sensitive skin and that's because all of their products are free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant.

This sunscreen is great because it is a 4 in 1:
    1) High UV protection of SPF50+
    2) Trusty hyaluronic acid for hydration
    3) Good makeup base
    4) Non-sticky and greasy body sunscreen too
I used this sunscreen for my arms and legs when I went to the amusement park on a burning summer day and my skin was not tanned or burned, unlike the previous time!

Dry skin people will enjoy this product because it is really hydrating. This sunscreen also did not leave with a white cast. It has no scent which is always good. It is also very affortable, it cost half the price of Kiehl's sunscreen and it lasted me 3 months which is not long but reasonable because I reapplied my sunscreen throughout the day and even on my body.

The only thing which I dislike but also like about this sunscreen is its texture. Although, its light but its not as liquid-y and thus thicker than my Kiehl's, which I love so its a thumb down from me because it will be too heavy for my oil skin during the summer. However, this thick liquid texture will be perfect for a winter sunscreen because it will be moist-proof. Interestingly, despite it thickness, it adsorbs quickly into my skin and does not break out my acne-prone skin!

To prepare for the winter season, I have already bought a moisturizing sunscreen but its not this 'Moist Emulsion'. Don't get me wrong, this sunscreen is wonderful for the drier climate because of its thicker liquid texture but the reason I did not repurchase it is because I want to try out the newly released 'Hada Labo UV Whitening Emulsion', which I'm hoping will help with my hyperpigmentation!

REVIEW: Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

    ~MG~

Halfway through with my second jar of Kiehl's 'Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado'. After my first jar, I went eyecream hunting, tried a few other eyecreams from different brands but none treats me better than Kiehl's 'Creamy Eye Treatment'.

The three main ingredients in this eye cream is surprise, surprise... avocado oil, beta-carotene and shea butter. Prior to using this eye cream, I was hesitant of the avocado oil and shea butter because I was afraid that it might be too heavy and oily for my under-eyes and eyelids. It will be a nightmare having milia, which actually did came true but thankfully not with my trusty Kiehl's.

Just some quick facts about the 3 big ingredients:
    1) Avocado oil is the most moisturizing of any fruit oil which is perfect for dry under-eyes because it will help to restore the natural moisture of the skin.
    2) Beta-Carotene is an antioxidant found in many orange/red vegetables such as carrots, hence the its name is similar to Carrot.
    3) Next is Shea butter who is no stranger to lotions and cleansing product because of its hydrating properties. It protects skin from dehydration, restores skin suppleness and improves the dry under-eyes.

I really like this eye cream. It does not cause milia. It hydrates my under-eyes and eyelids. It does not migrate into my eyes. The texture is good, not sticky or greasy. It sip into my skin fairly fast. No scent which is good for our sensitive eye areas. The colour is green which is my favourite colour. The price is good. However, one thing that I hate about this eye cream is its packaging. Since it is packaged in a jar, you will need to dip your finger in every single time you use it, yikes! Despite the fact of the 'Creamy Eye Treatment' packaging, I will not stop me from bringing it home again!

    REVIEW: Origins VitaZing

    ~MG~

This moisturizer has been in my morning skincare routine close to 1 year now! VitaZing is an energy-boosting, hydrator and sun protector moisturizer with mangosteen as its main ingredient.

For acne-prone and oily skin, fear not of the hydrating part because our skin actually needs more moisture than we think so that they will not overproduce the oil which will eventually become acne and VitaZing does not break me out!

This moisturizer will release a tint when you rub it in. Unlike other moisturizers, to use the VitaZing, you just need a pea size of the product, rub it in with your palms until the tint is released and then pat it onto your face. It also contains SPF 15 which is very little but still better than nothing. However, I highly suggest to finish off your skincare routine with a higher sunscreen after the VitaZing.

One magic secret of mine is to use the VitaZing before I apply my foundation/BB cream! Since the VitaZing has SPF in it and so does my sunscreen and my foundation/BB Cream, I will use a little less than a pea size so its not that heavy on my face. Just imagine your face with the VitaZing alone will already have the healthy glow and if you add your foundation/BB Cream, you can expect to receive attention from others with your radiance!

I have been using my VitaZing everyday for 1 year and 10 months and I am still not yet finished with my first tube. So you are getting alot in one tube, this product is worth your USD$35. I will definitely repurchase it. The VitaZing is already resting in my shopping basket in Sephora.com! I will come to  get you, wait for me!

REVIEW: Etude House AC Clinic Pink Daily Spot

*พร้อมส่ง* Etude House AC Clinic Pink Daily Spot

     ~MG~

One big reason that I love shopping in Korean cosmetic stores are the free samples! Just love the excitement of not knowing what the cashier will surprise you with!

So, I stopped by Etude House in Singapore to pick up some essentials (and random items) before I headed back to U.S. After burning my debit card, the cashier gave me 2 little tubes of the 'AC Clinic Pink Daily Spot' (I think its because my face was breaking out that day).

I had been using this 'Pink Daily Spot' for about 2 weeks and first thing I noticed is the pink color and the smell of the sulfur powder. This spot treatment is formulated with the antibiotic sulfur powder, salicylic acid and hinoki cypress extract. It claims to soothe, heal and brighten the blemishes. Not sure about the brightening portion but it sure did soothe and healed my blemishes!

Since I have an acne-prone face and my face was breaking out, smelling the sulfur and seeing salicylic acid as its ingredient were heavenly! However, for those who cannot take the sulfur smell, you might not like this product the same like I do.

Also, this spot treatment can be really drying for your face because so just remember to moisturize your face well.

To maximize its effective, I like to massage and spread out the product on my blemish first and then apply the product again,  on the same spot but without massaging it. The reason why I reapply is because when I massage and spread out the product, it tends to get powdery.

For those warriors who wants to conquer the Acne War, grab this Pink weapon!
