REVIEW: SunPlay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Milk SPF 50 PA+++

~AG~
This sunscreen is one of the best I have tried so far. This is actually my second time purchasing the product. At Guardian, it retails for S$17+. It works for your face as well as your body. It has a milky texture that absorbs quickly when applied.  It did not leave a white cast on my face or any white reside on my body. There is a slightly cooling feeling after application.

SPF 50 PA ++ provides long hours broad spectrum from UVA & UVB protection. Its oil absorbing powder keeps skin shine free. The sunscreen contains super hyaluronic acid, hyaluronic acid, amino acid and collagen to keep skin hydrated. The super hyaluronic acid and hyaluronic acid provides superior moisture retention capacity for long hours by targeting different layers of the skin. Collage and amino acid helps to improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

The packaging mentions that it is ideal as a makeup base. I cannot comment about this because I don't use face makeup daily. On the packaging, it mentions that the product does not have fragrance, colorant and mineral oil. That is a plus for those with sensitive skin like me.

For those of you who is wondering whether it is waterproof or water resistant. The packaging claims that it is highly water resistant. But they recommend to re-apply after perspiring, towel drying or vigorous outdoor activity. I used this sunscreen on my face while snorkelling in Koh Samui. I re-applied three times throughout the day and my face was not sunburnt. The mattifying texture makes it comfortable to re-apply on the skin. My ultra sensitive skin did not have any adverse reaction to it. Some sunscreen cause my skin to breakout. But I did not have such issue with this sunscreen.

I will recommend this sunscreen to those looking for a lightweight sunscreen to use on their face and body for outdoor activities. This sunscreen will also work well for daily use.

REVIEW: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength

~AG~

According to Sally Hansen, this is a high-powered nail hardener that virtually ends cracking, splitting & peeling, while locking in moisture so nails can grow. It is formulated with Real Micro-Diamond & Titanium properties that instantly bonds to strengthen and seal fragile nail layers with a virtually shatterproof protective shield.

After a bad gel nail encounter, my fingernails were becoming very brittle. Before that, I never had such issues with my nails breaking. I decided to try Sally Hansen Diamond Strength when I was in the States. It retailed for about USD $8. It is a strengthening treatment that supposedly protects the nails and prevents it from chipping. When painted on the nails, it creates a clear glossy finish. It dries up quickly, in less than 2 minutes. I love its quick drying properties, I do not have to worry about it smudging. I usually paint only one coat. The transparent coat stays on surprisingly well. It does not peel or chip easily. Mine can lasts up to 10 days without any chipping. For your information, I am terrible at keeping my manicured nails looking good, mine tend to chip or peel after 2-3 days. Overall, I really like this product and will recommend it those that have brittle nails. It does make my nails harder and less prone to splitting.

REVIEW: innisfree apple juicy lip & eye remover

~AG~
Innisfree apple juicy lip & eye remover is a dual-phase remover. It has a oil-based consistency and a water-based consistency. Like most waterproof makeup remover, you have to shake it well before use. I tend to use only one cotton pad to removed my daily eye makeup. With this makeup remover, I find that it is not as oily compared to L'Oreal or Lancôme waterproof makeup removers.

However when I use waterproof eyeliners, I tend to use two cotton pads to thoroughly remove the makeup. What I also found is that if you leave the soaked cotton pad on the eyelids area to absorb the makeup remover, the waterproof eyeliner comes off more easily. So instead of continually wiping the eye area, this is a more gentle method of makeup removal. Overall, innisfree apple juicy remover has a good waterproof makeup removing properties.

One more thing that I have to point out about this makeup remover is that it is suitable for sensitive skin. I have ultra sensitive skin, and some eye makeup removers have caused my skin to sting. With this Innisfree apple juicy remover, I have had no problems with that. I have been using it for over two months.

Since I bought this in Korea while they were having a 1-for-1 deal, I found this purchase very worth it. I know for sure that it costs less than USD $10 per bottle. It might have cost around USD $5-6 because I remember it being a good buy. Overall, I will recommend this makeup remover to those looking for an affordable and yet effective one. Plus, I especially like the fresh Apple scent.

REVIEW: Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Waterproof Alber Elbaz

~AG~

This is quite outdated. This Alber Elbaz's designed Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes waterproof mascara was launched many seasons ago. But, I only bought it end of last year at Changi Airport duty free shop.    I cannot how much I paid for it. On Lancome.com, the Hypnose Doll Eyes Waterproof mascara retails for USD$27.50
The secret behind doll lashes, finally revealed!Lancôme's most flirtatious lash look. A volumized, extended and full lash fringe for a wide-eye look.
The secret behind this amazing result?A new, unique, cone-shaped brush provides an extremely smooth and clean application, precisely defining even your hard-to-reach corners and lower lashes. Combined with the exclusively developed FiberShine formula, it sculpts, curls and loads each lash for the ultimate shiny lash fringe. Lift and thicken every single lash without weighing it down. Push up your lashes for your most flirty, wide open eye look.
Isn't the Alber Elbaz's design so cute? I especially like the red and black patterns running through the mascara. It makes it so fun. Unlike the usual boring monotone colours of mascara's packaging. It is definitely a collector's item.

The wand is narrower at the tip for easier application for my tiny lashes. The specially designed wand gives my short lashes length. The mascara formula thickens my sparse lashes. It defines my lashes and creates an wide-eyed look. This makes my eye area appear more awake.

Lancome really meant waterproof when they said it is a waterproof mascara. Sometimes, waterproof mascara still smudges on me and makes me look like a racoon. But I had no problem with this one.

I really like this mascara. It has to be one of my most favourite mascaras - the others being YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils and Tarte's Lights, Camera Splashes. I truly recommend this to those of you that have short or sparse lashes, and want defined lashes. It creates the volume and length of false lashes with its voluminizing formula and lengthening wand.
