REVIEW: Korres Natural Damask Rose Anti Fatigue Mask

~AG~

Bought this Korres Anti Fatigue Mask during my honeymoon to Greece. Tried several of Korres products a few years back. They were popular in Sephora USA because of the use of natural ingredients. I cannot remember how much Korres Rose Anti Fatigue Mask retails for but it should be less than 15. Korres website put the retail price10.50€ (S$16.50). The reason I bought it is because of its handy size. It comes in an 18ml bottle which is just nice for traveling. This mask is supposed to be leave-on overnight and then wash off in the morning. This Anti Fatigue Mask is anti-ageing, creamy night treatment that rejuvenates skin and helps reduce the signs of premature aging.

Enriched with Damask Rose extract which is known for its toning, antiseptic and astringent properties, the extract delivers a potent anti wrinkle action. This Anti Fatigue Mask also contains soothing aloe vera and moisture-binding hyaluronic acid to enrich skin hydration. Boosted with stable Vitamin C for visible brightened skin, antioxidant Vitamin E and nourishing natural waxes, the mask leaves the complexion fresh. This product is free from mineral oils, petrolatum, paraffin wax, silicones, parabens phthalates, retinol and synthetic dyes. According to Korres website, it contains 95.24% natural content. That sounds great for someone with sensitive skin like mine.

My skin gets especially dry when I fly. Like now, my skin feels tight and dry. Late nights + dry atmosphere of the plane = Dehydrated Skin. This Korres Rose Mask is a good addition to my nighttime skincare regimen. This Korres Mask has a rather creamy texture compared to Laneige Sleeping Mask.  I usually apply Korres Mask as the last step of my skincare regimen. I pair this Korres Anti Fatigue Mask with Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre to give my skin the added hydration it needs. This Korres Anti Fatigue Mask does not leave a sticky feeling which is great. I do not like when my mask leave a sticky feeling, such as Laneige Sleeping Mask. Since this Anti Fatigue Mask has a nice texture, I used it every night on my recent trip to China. It helps to make my skin feels hydrated the next morning. In terms of the brightening and anti-aging effects, I could not notice it.

The  Korres Anti Fatigue Mask has a distinct rose scent that is not overwhelming. Overall, this is a good addition to my travel skincare bag. Though, the Korres brand is not readily available in Singapore. Guess I would have to look for a more accessible alternative. But for those in the States or Europe, do try this Korres Anti Fatigue Mask.

REVIEW: Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream

~AG~

I am a big fan of yoghurt. I love the taste of it and enjoy its health benefits. So a year ago, while browsing through Sephora in the States, I saw this Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream (US$36). Korres is known as a brand that uses natural ingredients, so I decided to try their product to see whether it works for my then ultra sensitive skin.

On the packaging it says: "Ultra-soothing, non-greasy cream brings immediate hydration and comfort to dehydrated skin. " The Greeks use yoghurt as a remedy to soothe and nourish skin as it contains plenty of proteins, minerals, and vitamins. This Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream contains yoghurt, wheat starch, natural Vitamin E, Olive oil concentrate, and Macadamia nut oil.

In my previous post, I mentioned that I used the Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturising Face Cream on my recent trip to China. See link below:

What can I say about Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream?

1) It feels sticky upon application but it is absorbed well into the skin. My skin feel soft and smooth afterwards. It does not make my skin feel greasy.

2) It kept my skin well moisturised during my trip to China during its Winter season. My skin did not feel tight at all. In comparison, my Ren Vita Mineral Moisturizing Cream is not hydrating enough for the cold and dry Winter weather.

3) When I put my SunPlay Skin Aqua sunscreen on top of Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturising Face Cream, it does not go on well. There will be some flakes. It seems that Korres Yoghurt Cream does not "mix" well with my sunscreen. Previously, I had no such problem with my other moisturisers REN Vita Mineral Cream or Laneige Water Bank Essence.

4) My skin did not have any adverse reaction to it. I used it for four days, day and night. No visible bumps or redness appeared during that time.

5) I like the texture of the cream. It does not feel ultra rich.

6) The scent of the cream is pleasant. The yoghurt-scent is there but it is not too overpowering.

For now, I will only use the Korres Face Cream at night. In conclusion, I would not re-purchase Korres Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream because I cannot use it with my favourite sunscreen, SunPlay Skin Aqua.

Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream

~AG~

I was suprised to find this in my beauty stash. I thought I had given it away. Previously, I had tried the Korres Yogurt Instant Soothing Gel. It was decent at first but after subsequent uses, I found that it flakes for some reason. Anyway, I decided to try this Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream during my trip to Chengdu, China. Since Singapore does not have four seasons, I thought this face cream might be too heavy for its humid weather. Chengdu's winter weather is similar to that of California. It does not usually snow but the weather gets dry and windy. So, my skin gets dry and tight when I am in Chengdu. I hope this product keeps my skin hydrated; and that I will not have any adverse reaction to it. I will let you all know about how good or bad the Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream is after my trip. Stay tuned!

REVIEW: Korres Yoghurt Instant Soothing Gel

 ~AG~

Korres Yoghurt Instant Soothing Gel has a slight yoghurt scent. But it is not too sweet or overwhelming. It has a very lightweight texture. The cooling gel absorbs quickly onto the skin. It does not feel sticky or leaves a residue.

You only need a little bit of the product for the whole face
It keeps my skin hydrated, and is not too oily for Singapore humid weather
My sensitive skin has not had any adverse reaction to this product. I’ve been using it for over 3 weeks.

About the packaging, it is convenient to travel with. And the tip applicator allows for minimal wastage of the gel.

The only negative thing about this product is the face that you have to shake the gel before use because it separates into a watery and creamy parts.

I bought this in June 2013, but when I try looking for it on Sephora.com (USA), I could not find it. I guess Sephora no longer carry this product. When I look for it on Korres website, I was not able to find it as well. It looks like Korres has discontinued this product.
