REVIEW: Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

~AG~
This best-selling concealer has been on my wish list for the longest time! With the pandemic and working from home situation, my makeup has not been touched in a long time. Decided to toss my long overdue Chanel concealer. It has been in use for over 2 years. It is way past the recommended shelf life for concealer. Formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan and sodium lauryl sulfate. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer is great for those who are concerned of harmful ingredients in their cosmetics.
This highly raved concealer claims to lasts for 16 hours. Tarte Shape Tape concealer claims to smooth and brighten to make eyes appear lifted. Since the main use of concealer is for my dark circles, this product sounds perfect. The sponge tip applicator makes it easy to use. Tarte Shape Tape’s crease-proof formula would not cake or settle for 12 hours. Its trademarked tape technology helps to smooth and blur appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Tarte Shape Tape concealer is quite pricey at S$42. Though it is slightly cheaper compared to Chanel Le Correcteur, which is S$47.50. The texture of the Tape Shape Concealer is thicker than Chanel Le Correcteur concealer. You only need a small amount (less than a pea-size amount) to conceal the dark circles. When I tried the concealer under my eyes, the 27S light-medium sand was a better match for my overall skin tone. It conceals my dark circles without being too light. 27S is suitable for light to medium skintone with yellow undertones.
For reference, I use:
Chanel Le Correctuer in 20 Beige
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Corrector in Medium
Cle de Peau Beaute concealer in Ocher
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in Shade 22 Beige Rose
Bobbi Brown Beige (3)
Urban Decay Weightless Liquid Makeup in Shade 3.0 and
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Shade 52 (Vanille)

REVIEW: Son & Park Beauty Water

Son & Park Beauty Water
~AG~

Beauty Water can be used in the morning to create the perfect canvas for makeup application, midday as a refresher, and night after cleansing to whisk away remaining impurities. For normal, oily, dry, and combination skin types. Beauty Water has a pH of 4.5, effectively resetting the skin's natural pH after cleansing. Soko Glam is selling it for US$30 (S$41). The Beauty Water contains willow bark and papaya extract to help exfoliate dead skin cells, revealing brighter skin tone and smoother texture. Lavender water, rose water, and orange fruit extract impart a subtle hydration so your skin can be prepped to absorb the next skin care steps, while adding in a bit of moisture.

This popular Son & Park Beauty Water has been part of my skincare regime for over 2 weeks now. So what are my thoughts about this product?
It has a distinct botanical scent compared to Bioderma Sensibio. Though the scent is not unpleasant. In terms of cleansing properties, Son & Park Beauty Water seems to do a better job of removing sunscreen, makeup and impurities. One cotton pad of Son & Park Beauty Water is able to capture more residue compared to one cotton pad of Bioderma. Typically use it at night to cleanse face. It takes 2 cotton pads to thoroughly cleanse the face. I try to avoid using Son & Park Beauty Water on the eyes area because it can irritate the eyes. My sensitive skin did not have any adverse reaction to this Beauty Water. Yay! I was a little worried that this Beauty Water might not work for my skin. The exfoliating agents in the Beauty Water is gentle enough for my skin. My skin does not feel dry after use. It keeps my combination skin in check.

Even though this Son & Park Beauty Water is pricey, one bottle contains 340 ml of product which should lasts 3-4 months with daily use. For those that have tried Bioderma, this would be a good alternative for those living in Korea. The only downside is this product is not easily available in Singapore, but you can buy it online. Would recommend it for someone who is looking for a cleansing water/toner to add to their skincare regimen.

REVIEW: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua & Le Correcteur De Chanel

The newest addition to my face makeup
Vitalumiere Aqua
~AG~
Been always been a big fan of Chanel Beauty face makeup. Tried a few of their products over the years and found their formula to be suitable for my skin. Since my HG Urban Decay Naked Liquid Makeup is more than 2 years old, it is time to get a new one for my skin health. Decided to try Vitalumiere Aqua as my next liquid foundation. It is described as an ultra-light skin perfecting makeup. The saleslady matched my skin to the shade 22 Beige Rose. This shade matches my medium skin tone well. This Chanel liquid foundation costs S$68.90 at Shilla Duty Free. It comes with 33ml of product. Since I do not use liquid foundation often, this bottle of foundation will be more than enough. Vitalumiere Aqua is lightweight and has low coverage. It gives a nice dewy finish. You are to shake the bottle before use. The saleslady asked how my makeup usually oxidises, and advised to apply a makeup primer prior. What are my thoughts about the Vitalumiere Aqua? The lightweight texture feels nice on my skin. The product provides a nice soft finish. Vitalumiere Aqua will be suitable for those who prefer minimal coverage. However, you would need to use concealer to conceal pimples and dark circles.
Le Correcteur

Bought the Le Correcteur De Chanel for $47.50. The shade that I chose was 20 Beige, which is similar to the Vitalumiere Aqua shade. At first the saleslady recommended a lighter shade for my dark circles, but since I do not use foundation on a daily basis, I opted for a shade that will match my skin tone. This is to avoid the reverse panda eyes look, which happens when the concealer is too light. This gel-based concealer is long-lasting. It provides medium coverage and is suitable to conceal my dark circles. The concealer comes with a sponge tip applicator for convenience. Even though this concealer has a gel texture, it does not melt in Singapore's humid weather. It is a great product to carry in your handbag. Overall, I am satisfied with the coverage and lasting power of this concealer.

REVIEW: July 2018 Skincare Regimen

~AG~

The skin condition tends to vary throughout the months due to lifestyle changes - time of the month, traveling, lack of sleep and etc . So, I tend to switch up my skincare products. This is my current skincare regimen. It is a mix of affordable drug store and high-end products.
1) Bioderma Hydrabio
500ml
S$41.90
This cleansing water is designed for dehydrated skin types. It has Hydrabio serum that stimulates the skin and reactivates natural hydration. I use it twice a day to gently remove sunscreen, makeup and other impurities. Since my skin has been on the drier side recently, Bioderma Hydrabio makes my skin feels comfortable. This 500 ml bottle will lasts me around 5-6 months.
2) Avène Gentle Cleansing Foam
150 ml
$37.70
This is my 3rd bottle of Avène Cleansing Foam. This cleansing foam comes with a pump for convenience. It gently cleanses sensitive skin without irritating the skin. One bottle of Cleansing Foam lasts about 4-5 months since I only use it once a day. I would switch to another cleanser after this bottle because my skin has been feeling dry.
3) Thayers Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Formula Rose Petal
355ml
$11.69
This alcohol-free toner helps keep my skin in check. It contains Witch Hazel to tighten pores and control production while Aloe Vera hydrates the skin. Rose Petal contains ingredients to create a healthy complexion. After using it for over 2 months, my skin has become more balanced. Thayers Witch Hazel Hazel Aloe Vera toner is an affordable drugstore buy.

4) Skinceuticals C E Ferulic
30ml
$231
Been using this serum for over month. I apply this serum all over my face only at night. So far, I cannot tell that Skinceuticals C E Ferulic significantly improves skin appearance or reduce fine lines or wrinkles. Would have to use it for a more extended time to verify whether there is any skin improvements.

5) Clinique All About Eyes
15ml
S$52.20
This lightweight eye cream hydrates the eye area and is supposed to help with dark circles and eye puffiness. Even though it does not diminish my dark circles, this eye cream works well and you only need a small amount. I apply it using my ring finger, twice a day. A tub of Clinique All About Eyes can lasts 3-4 months.
6) Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentrè
75ml
S$28
This is my favorite beauty find of 2017. This is my HG moisturizer! I am on my 2nd bottle of Embryolisse Creme Cocentre. It works well to hydrate and soothe my combination skin. The texture is light and does not feel greasy. Even when I travel to dry climate countries, this Embryolisse moisturizer works well. The only downside is that this product is not sold in Singapore. So I stock up or asks those traveling to France to help me buy.
7) Derma-RX Tinted Sunscreen
50ml
S$69
Wearing sunscreen everyday is a must! Due to my sensitive skin, I am hesitant to try new sunscreen. Sunscreen tends to be the skincare product that aggravates breakouts for me. This is probably the 3rd bottle of Derma-RX Tinted Sunscreen I have used. The new version is good and does not make my face looks greasy. With SPF 50, it provides protection against UV damages. One bottle of Derma-RX Tinted Sunscreen lasts 5-6 months with everyday use.  This is a staple of my skin care regimen.

REVIEW: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

 ~MG~

This NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer US$29 (S$39) comes with a sponge applicator. This concealer is very GOOD! One sponge tip amount is enough for concealing both eyes. I use the "inverted triangle" method for concealing my dark circles. NARS Concealer provides a medium to high coverage. The texture is creamy and rather smooth. Compared Cle de Peau, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is creamier. This NARS concealer is easy to use and to blend. The color match was perfect in concealing my blue tone dark circles. With setting powder, it can lasts through the night. It does not crease or melts off in Singapore humid's weather. The packaging makes it super easy to travel with. If you use the concealer daily, NARS creamy concealer will probably lasts for more than six months.

When I am in a hurry to get ready, I will use this  handy concealer. It is a light concealer that disguises my dark circles. Though I won't say it truly brightens the under eye area. I also use it to conceal my acne marks and redness when I am too lazy to reach for other concealers. It works well for concealing redness, but cannot fully conceal my acne scars. I will definitely recommend. One of the best concealers I have used. Even though it has a heavy price tag, it is worth your money - easy to use and blend, generous with the product and is well-pigmented. NARS offer a wide range of colors for the Radiant Creamy Concealer, so find one that suits you!

REVIEW: IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Corrector

~AG~
Bought IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Corrector in Medium US$29 (S$41) from Ulta Beauty when I was in the States last November. My younger sister, MG, said that I should check IT Cosmetics concealer out because of its raved review. So while browsing through Ulta Beauty, I thought this product was their best-selling concealer. Turns out it was the Bye Bye Undereye Corrector. Note to self: Remember to check the product name at checkout.
The tub packaging contains 5g of product. IT Cosmetics Undereye Corrector comes in 3 shades: Light, Medium and Rich. It contains collagen and peptides to smooth the skin around the eyes area. Green coffee extract, caffeine and cucumber to reduce eye puffiness. Since my Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer is empty, it is time to try a new concealer that is targeted for dark circles.

This corrector comes in a tub packaging, and contains a generous amount of product. I foresee this corrector lasting for more than six months, even with daily use. The texture of this corrector is super creamy, which reminds me of Bobbi Brown Corrector. Since my under eye area has been feeling dry, the texture of IT Cosmetics Corrector is suitable for my skin type. For those with oily skin type in Singapore's humid weather, you might need to set this product with a loose or pressed powder so that it would not smudge.

My under eyes area is prone to milia that is triggered by overly rich eye creams or concealers. I was worried that IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Corrector will trigger milia because of its creamy texture. After using it for over four weeks, no visible milia has appeared. Yay! My under eye areas definitely look brighter with the application of this corrector. This salmon-tone corrector helps to neutralize dark circles. It claims to be 8 hours of sleep in jar!

Overall, this is a good under eye corrector. It helps to disguise dark circles and brighten the under eye area. The texture of IT Cosmetics Corrector is smooth and so easy to apply with your ring finger. You only need a thin layer of product to conceal the dark circles. This tub of corrector is packed with product and should lasts me for more than six months. I highly recommend this Under Eye Corrector for those with dark circles and need a product to brighten the under eye area.

REVIEW: Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer

Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer
~AG~

This Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer is my new makeup must-have! This sponge-tip applicator concealer is handy to have in your makeup bag. It is easy to use and great for on-the-go. Having been plagued with severe dark circles ever since I was a teenager, there is this never-ending quest to find THE perfect under eye concealer. I have tried more than 10 under eye concealers/correctors - Bobbi Brown Corrector, Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer, Cle de Peau Beaute Concealer, Laura Mercier Camouflage Concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup Hydrating Under Eye Concealer, Benefit Cosmetics ErasePaste, YSL Touche Eclat and many more.

After trying a few other concealers at Sephora, the saleslady there recommended Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer. The shade she selected for me is Light Medium which has peach undertones. The saleslady mentioned that Too Faced Radiant Concealer contains Coconut Water which replenishes skin's moisture level. She noticed that my under eye area was dry and said that this concealer would be suitable for my skin type, as it also contains Hyaluronic Acid. When she tested Too Faced Radiant Concealer on my under eye areas, it matched my skin tone well and did not accentuate my dry patches. The texture of this concealer is not thick at all. It has a lightweight consistency and does not feel creamy.
The true test of this concealer was whether this Too Faced Concealer will stay on well in Singapore's humid weather. Surprisingly, Too Faced Radiant Concealer was long-lasting. It did not crease in Singapore's hot and humid conditions. Even after 8 hours of wear, the concealer did not crease nor did it melt off. I put 3-4 dots of concealer on each under eye area, and then blend it with my ring fingers. I do not even use a powder to set the concealer, and it lasts all day! True to its claims, my under eyes area does not feel dry at all. It also contains Alpine Rose to brighten and boost skin's radiance. This concealer has medium coverage and works great for covering dark circles and minor blemishes. It blends well into the skin and creates a smooth finish.

Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer is available in 10 shades. It comes with 0.7 ml of concealer and retails for US $28 (S$40). It is a rather expensive price tag for a concealer but you only need little product to cover your blemishes and dark circles. I highly recommend this concealer to those that have dry under eyes area or have dry skin. The lightweight texture is long-lasting and looks natural.

REVIEW: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

Sleek packaging - long and slim
 ~AG~
This foundation works better than I had expected! It is very, very lightweight and feels like nothing on my skin. Urban Decay Naked Liquid Makeup is definitely my new favourite. This foundation provides light to medium coverage. It has a demi-matte finish with light-diffusing spheres that makes your skin illuminated. It works well to conceal my redness around the nose, and my blemishes. Though, it is not provide enough coverage enough for my dark circles. For those that prefer or need more coverage, you would have to layer the foundation over a concealer to get the desired look. Urban Decay Naked Liquid Makeup stays on well, even without a primer. It does not smudge off from my combination skin. *clap clap* This foundation will also work well for those with oily skin type, though prepping your face with a face primer will be advised. In addition, my sensitive combination skin did not have any adverse reaction to this foundation. No new breakouts, no bumps or no redness. Yay! Urban Decay Naked Liquid Makeup is paraben-free.
My cousin who has an acne-prone skin tried my Urban Decay Naked Liquid Makeup and liked it. She said that the texture is nice, and looks very natural. The coverage provided was good enough for her.
With a metal-finish pump dispenser
According to Urban Decay, infused with Matrixyl 3000 (a powerful anti-wrinkle peptide), protective and brightening Litchiderm, antioxidant green tea and vitamins. :
  • 100% of participant in a clinical studies had a measurable improvement in the appearance of skin imperfections
  • 96% of participants had a measurable improvement in skin radiance
  • 90% of participants had a measurable improvement in skin firmness
  • 93% of participants had a measurable improvement in the appearance of fine lines
Shade 3.0 matched my medium skin tone perfectly. For shade reference, I am Bourjois Shade 52 (Vanille), MAC NC 30, Bobbi Brown Beige (3) and Chanel Beige (10).
Shade 3.0

It is pricey at S$52 for 30 ml worth of product. But I will still recommend this Urban Decay Naked Liquid Makeup especially for those who prefers a natural skin finish. It looks like you are not wearing makeup at all. This foundation works well for special occasions, and is also comfortable for daily use.

REVIEW: Soap & Glory Kick-Ass Blur & Brighten Concealer Crayon

Crayon stick with a cap
A twist-out mechanism that extends and retracts
~AG~
The first thing that I came to my mind when applying this concealer was how soft it was. I was very careful to apply the concealer carefully, so as to not break off the crayon. The shade, Medium, matched well with my skin tone. My main use for this concealer is to disguise my severe dark circles. The Soap & Glory Kick-Ass Concealer helped brighten my under eyes area. The coverage is light to medium. In comparison, my HG Cle de Peaute Beaute Concealer has a higher coverage. I had to use about 3-4 swipes of Kick-Ass Concealer to decently conceal my dark circles. I cannot comment on its concealing power for pimples, or redness. The best thing about this concealer is the texture. The concealer was very smooth, had a similar  texture to that of a makeup primer's texture. It does not crease or accentuate fine line. Its creamy consistency is similar to that of Bobbi Brown's Corrector. I highly suggest that you set this concealer with loose or pressed powder. With that being said, I had no issues with it smudging or melting off.
Left under eye concealed with Kick-Ass Concealer Crayon. Right under eye without any makeup

Left under eye area much brighter than the right under eye area

At S$16, I will most likely repurchase this concealer. The only problem is that it is not available in Singapore. Soap & Glory, please bring your makeup range to Singapore! Or else I would just have to check out Boots during my next trip to Bangkok. The concealing properties of Kick-Ass Concealer Crayon satisfied my expectations (P.S: I have very high standards for concealer, as it is my must-have makeup product). Soap & Glory Kick-Ass Concealer Crayon is a great product to carry in your travel makeup bag.

REVIEW: Ettusais Quick Fix Powder

Palm-sized powder compact
Cute pink and white packaging
~AG~
Bought this Ettusais Quick Fix Powder from Metro Paragon for S$28. It is rather pricey for a setting powder, but was in need of a good quality powder to keep my creamy concealer in place. This is my first Ettusais purchase in a long time. The last time I bought a product from Ettusais was in Secondary School, which was many years ago. The reason why I decided to try Ettusais powder is because of the good experience I had using one of Ettusais's powders during Bloom by Roseanne Trial Makeup Class. When I applied the Ettusais's loose powder, which is either the BB Mineral Powder or Premium CC Loose Powder, the texture was soft and nice. The powders were finely milled and did not leave my face looking cakey at all. The main reason that I did not purchase Ettusais BB Mineral Powder or Premium CC Loose Powder instead was due to the packaging. Loose powder packaging can be bulky to travel with, plus they tend to get messy during the application. With my past track record of leaving loose powder unused, I decided to go for a compact powder instead.
Naturally colored powder
Comes with a fluffy puff
The Smooth Fit Coat that covers each powder particle helps powders fit onto skin beautifully so your make-up won’t look cakey after touching up. The Shine Prevention Powder also prevents shine from showing too quickly and helps for a longer lasting finish. Contains SPF 10 PA ++. Ettusasis Quick Fix Powder is a colorless powder that sets makeup. Ettusais claims that the powder can even out skin texture and tone, without looking cakey. Furthermore, Ettusais's skin roughness preventing mineral powder claims to show beautiful, natural skin.

After using Ettusais Quick Fix Powder for a week, I can safely say that this setting powder does not trigger any adverse reactions on my sensitive skin - no bumps or new breakouts were noticed during this time. The powder is very finely milled and feels natural on the skin. Yes, your face would not look cakey after applying it. Even though it is a setting powder, you have to generously apply the powder to notice its mattifying effect. The first few times I used this Ettusais Quick Fix Powder, I did not apply enough product to achieve the ideal matte look. After a few more tries,  and I finally found the magic formula and I was pleasantly surprised with the lasting power. When I checked my face at around 3pm (4 hours after application), my skin was still matte. *thumbs up* FYI, my T-zones tend to get oily after 2-3 hours.

Since it has little or no coverage, this powder will not do for those that prefers more coverage. In my case, Ettusais Quick Fix Powder's sole purpose was to keep my creamy under eye concealer in place, but it was able to perform its duties. With that being said, I will definitely try the other powder selections from Ettusais, as the powders are very soft and natural, and would not repurchase Ettusais Quick Fix Powder.

NEW BUY: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

~AG~

My HG Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation is way past its shelf life, it has been in my beauty collection for almost two years. Yes yes, it is so BAD that I have yet to dispose of it. But within these two years, I probably used it less than 10 times. I am not a big fan of having face makeup on a daily basis, thus my liquid foundation is only reserved for special occasions.

Introducing Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup!
  • Naked Skin uses light-diffusing spheres to 'blur' imperfections for a luminous, demi-matte finish that feels invisible but looks professionally retouched.
  • Naked Skin is oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, and loaded with nourishing ingredients:
  • Matrixyl 3000-Anti-wrinkle and lifting peptides restore and maintain skin's youthful appearance while increasing elasticity.
  • Litchiderm (derived from lychee fruit) – Protects the skin from dehydration, oxidative stress and accelerated aging, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion.
  • Green Tea & Vitamin E – These anti-oxidants neutralize free-radicals and promote collagen production for smooth and supple skin.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate – Holds and attracts water for optimal hydration, circulation and nutrient absorption, making skin smooth, soft and youthful.
The saleslady tried the shade 2.0 on my hands but it was too light. Then she watched the shade 3.0 on my jaw and it matched perfectly. I fell in love with the feel of the liquid foundation, it was very lightweight! UD Naked Liquid Makeup comes in a pump packaging, which is my favourite type of liquid foundation packaging. The hygienic pump packaging means it can be good-to-use for much longer. Shilla Duty Free retails UD Naked Liquid Foundation for S$52. It was the more affordable option compared to lightweight options from Chanel makeup, YSL, or Shu Uemura, which were all in the $60+ price range. Stay tuned for my review of UD Liquid Makeup!

REVIEW: The Face Shop Face It Radiance Concealer Dual Veil

A compact concealer
~AG~

This product is such a disappointment! This award-winning concealer provided little to no coverage for my dark circles and pimples. See my previous post about this concealer highly reviewed by Get it Beauty. NEW BUY: The Face Shop Face It Radiance Concealer. First off, the shade of the concealer does not match my skin tone. The shade that I bought was NB21, which was the medium selection available. While trying the testers at The Face Shop, I hesitated between purchasing the NB21 or NB23. But opted for NB21 because it matched better with my skin tone. NB23 did not blend as well to my skin tone. When I applied NB21 stick concealer on my under eyes area, it had an ashy undertone instead of a warm undertone. It was very unflattering.

The stick concealer
The texture and shade of the stick concealer

The stick concealer end which I though would be similar to my HG Cle de Peau concealer was nothing close to it. Even after applying a generous amount of the stick concealer, it did not brighten my under eyes area at all. Contrary to what I had though initially, the liquid concealer provided more coverage than the stick concealer. The liquid concealer was somewhat better in concealing my pimples. Though, it did not provide as much coverage as Cle de Peau concealer.

Liquid concealer with a sponge applicator

Creamy texture of the liquid concealer

Overall, I would not recommend this concealer to anybody. It does not meet the basic function of a concealer which is to hide skin imperfections. It retails for KRW 10,900 (~S$14), which is not that cheap. I rather pay more to have a quality concealer, since it is the one beauty product that I use almost everyday. Sorry, The Face Shop, this concealer is No Good in my books.

REVIEW: Hera CC Cream

~AG~

This is MG's most raved about product. Now it is my turn to give my take on this award-winning CC Cream from Hera. Bought this CC Cream during my trip to South Korea last month. This was one of the top items on my must-buy shopping list.

According to the packaging, "Multicream, with an evolved and innovative skincare texture, merges skin-friendly cell biotechnology for complete coverage of blemishes and create a firmer and younger skin." Their clinical trial test claims that the use of Hera CC Cream will improve moisture content by 13.3% and skin tone brightening by 17.3%. It also claims to that the makeup will lasts for 8 hours.

Pump packaging with a protective cap

Bought this CC Cream from Lotte Duty Free for KRW 31,000 (S$38,000). It is expensive for a CC Cream compared to other brands such as The Face Shop, Nature Republic or Innisfree ! Hera is considered an high-end Korean cosmetics brand so you pay more for their products.

The CC Cream has a light coverage. It feels like a tinted moisturizer rather than a foundation. For those with blemishes and redness, Hera CC Cream provides little coverage. You will need a concealer to cover up more problematic areas such as dark circles or pimples. The CC Cream does not feel heavy on my skin. The light texture still allows my skin to breathe. It also does not feel sticky or leave an oily residue. The best thing is that the shade matches my skin tone. It does not cause my face to have a grey or white effect. It evens the skin tone with masking the face. The shade I chose was True Beige (23), and it looks natural on my skin. Hera CC Cream is available in three shades: Pink Beige (17), Natural Beige (21) and True Beige (23).
It brightens and evens out my skin tone but still looks natural

There is no unflattering white or grey cast

You can still see my blemishes

The only bad thing about this CC Cream is that it will melt if you are perspiring. During one of my experiences with Hera CC Cream, the makeup smudged badly around my eyes area when I was wearing sunglasses. It was embarrassing! I even used Giorgio Armani powder to set the makeup after the application of the CC Cream. So Hera claims that the makeup will lasts for 8 hours is not valid to me.

However, I have resolved that issue. Hera CC Cream staying power is extended when you pair it with a face primer. I had no issues with the makeup melting or smudging off when I used Benefit POREfessional with Hera CC Cream. Bottom line is, if you live in a humid climate or during the summer, you have to use a primer before applying Hera CC Cream.

After several uses, Hera CC Cream did not have any adverse effects on my combination sensitive skin. It did not cause my skin to breakout nor did it cause any bumps on my cheeks area.
